The COD open reflux digesters from Borosil, available in 8-position (COD082) and 15-position (COD152) variants, are engineered to deliver reliable and efficient chemical oxygen demand (COD) analysis for wastewater testing. Built with a robust aluminum heating block, the units ensure rapid heating—reaching 160 °C from ambient temperature in under 20 minutes—while maintaining precise thermal control up to 180 °C with ±1 °C accuracy.

These systems offer a user-friendly, monitoring-free experience thanks to features like an auto shut-off timer, audible buzzer alerts, and an insulated block design that minimizes user contact with hot surfaces. An intuitive graphic LCD allows for real-time graphical monitoring of temperature and time, alongside display of set vs. actual values.

For enhanced operational efficiency, the digester supports method presets, two-point factory calibration, PID auto-tuning, and future-ready USB and printer connectivity for logging and documentation. Safety features include overheat sensors that protect both the unit and user during operation. The rugged build resists repeated acid attacks, extending durability in demanding environments.
